Bar TT Ranch is also known as Tall Timber Ranch

It all started as a weekend escape. Ian & I both had pretty demanding jobs in the Calgary oil patch. With 3 young boys, and a agricultural background, I needed a place to get away. We purchased the land, just south and west from the little village of Bergen, Alberta (settled early 1900’s by settlers from Norway).

Once the boys grew and left for school, we decided to live here, full time and the ranch grew from there. First it was the horse breeding business – something I’d be interested in my whole life. Next it was the Entlebucher Mountain Dogs. And then our middle son surprised us by decided to use his hard earned education to start a cattle operation. The other two boys now both live in Calgary but we are lucky to have the whole family close by.
